Shri Shantaram Mangesh Gothoskar passed away at 8.45 am today in Mumbai. He suffered a massive stroke on 18 Oct 2012 after which he was in coma for 25 days. He is survived by his wife Aparna, daughter Prajakta & son Bharat.
Mr. Gothoskar was a Senior Journalist, Sugar Economist and Political Analyst. He started his career with 'Lokmitra' and went on to be Asst Editor of 'Navshakti'. He was one of the key activist who ensured the Konkan Railway became a reality and was a member of the board of studies of Shivaji Unviversity. Also he was a director on MSFC (Maharashtra State Financial Corporation) and Saraswat Bank.
